Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier reef is the world's largest World Heritage Area extending 2,000 kilometers and covering an area of 35 million hectares on the north-east continental shelf of Australia. Bigger than the entire area of Italy, it is probably the best known marine protected area in the world. The Great Barrier Reef's great diversity reflects the maturity of the ecosystem, which has evolved over hundreds of thousands of years. It is the world's most extensive coral reef system and is one of the world's richest areas in terms of faunal diversity.

Mount everest is the highest mountain on earth. The mountain is 29,028 foot peak. Mount everest has two main trail routes to get to the peak of the mountain, which only a few thousand people have climbed. Mount Everest is the biggest mountain in the world and it keeps getting bigger due to the force of the subcontinent “India” pushing against Asia. It is part of the biggest mountain range of the world, the Himalayas. Mount Everest is exactly 29,028 feet high. The mountain was formed 60 million years ago. It can be found in Nepal and China. Its coordinates are as followed: 27°59′17″N, 86°55′31″E. This mountain has been climbed but not by many. The first person to climb to the summit of Mount Everest was Sir Gorge Everest. The mountain was later named after him.

The Grand Canyon is a massive canyon in the Colorado Plateau. The Grand Canyon was created by the Colorado River, in northern Arizona, USA. The canyon usually appears on the Seven Natural Wonders of the World lists. Most of the canyon is contained within the Grand Canyon National Park. One of the first national parks in the United States.The Grand Canyon became a national monument in 1908 and on February 26, 1919, it was designated as the seventeenth national park. To hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon requires at least one full day down and one full day back up. The Grand Canyon has been created in general because of the downward cutting of the Colorado River which flows thru the canyon. At average the Canyon is 5,000 ft deep. The Grand Canyon is 227 miles long. The Canyon is on a tilt the north rim is 1200 ft higher than the south rim. The Canyon’s walls are made up of rocks, cliffs, hills, and valleys.Three thousand to four thousand years ago desert archaic people lived in the Grand Canyon. The Pueblo Indians built adobe house around the canyon and made animal figures out of one twig. The Hopi Indians believe that when they die, their spirits emerge here and rest here. The first American person to cross the Colorado River upstream was Hamblin in 1864. In 1869 Major John Wesley Powell made a journey through the Grand Canyon by way of the Colorado River. By 1880 live stock companies began to raise 100,000 cattle and 250,000 sheep. In 1905 a world-class hotel, the El Tovar, was built right on the rim of the canyon. Every year since 1917 when the Grand Canyon became a national park there have millions people visiting this beautiful place.The Grand Canyon lives 75 different species of mammal, 50 species of reptiles, 25 species of fish, and 300 species of bird. In 1540 the first white man Francsico Conronado discovered the Grand Canyon.

Harbor at Rio
The Harbor of Rio de Janeiro is located on the east coast of Brazil, in the bay and the Atlantic ocean, the Rio de Janeiro harbor was discovered by explorers who thought that they had reached the mouth of some immense river. They are believed to have been the first people to see the bay in 1502. The Tupi Indians are the indians of the place.This place was a battle field back in the late 1800's aganist British war ships.

Paricutin Volacano , or the Volcan de Paricutin in Mexico has originated recently, and is one of the natural wonders whose birth, growth and death have been well recorded. The eruption that created Paricutin, began in 1943 and went on until the year 1952. The first year covered most of the activity and the hole grew to a height of 1,100 ft. and although it wasn't as dangerous as the fall of Pompeii, it changed forever the lives of the animals and people of Paricutin.The eruption that created Paricutin began in 1943 and continued to 1952. Most of the explosive activity was during the first year of the eruption when the cone grew to 1,100 feet (336 m). The cone continued to grow for 8 years but added only another 290 feet (88 m). Activity began on the second day and continued to the end of the eruption. Lava covered about 10 square miles (25 square km) and had a volume of about 0.3 cubic miles (1.4 cubic km). The rate of eruption went down steadily until the last 6 months of the eruption when violent explosions were dangerous and violent.

Victoria falls Is a waterfall placed in southern Africa between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is called the largest waterfall in the world, has an unusual form, and has a lot of wildlife. Mosi-oa-Tunya is the original name and still used by the local people. Europeans gave the name Victoria Falls.Victoria Falls is approximately 5600 feet wide, twice the height of Niagara Falls, and one and a-half times wider. Falls are divided into five separate waterfalls: Devil's Cataract, Main Falls, Horseshoe Falls, Rainbow Falls and Eastern Cataract.Peak floodwaters usually occur around mid-April when around 625 million liters per minute cascade over the edge per minute.The resulting spray rises up to 1,650 feet into the air. During this time (March-April), there is so much water flowing that the spray makes it quite difficult to see the falls.

The Northern Lights, is from a song of the 1950's called "The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen". In the Antarctic, the lights are called the Aurora Australis, or Southern Lights. They are visible, though less frequently, also outside those zones. In Finnish Lapland, the number of auroral displays can be as high as 200 a year. In southern Finland the number is usually fewer than 20.
